Cockatoo Calling

Join us in National Science Week 2021 to explore the story of the white cockatoo – we see them all across Canberra! Learn about how they communicate, eat, fly and make families, all explored through movement and music. Liz Lea is an award winning Canberra based choreographer fascinated by birds and all things feathery. Join us for lots of fun and facts!

Cockatoo Calling was researched at CSIRO Discovery and includes the decline in numbers from the 1800’s – now, connection with indigenous stories, science facts and conservation – all delivered in easy English with movement and music to engage children & young people.

This Inspiring Australia initiative is supported by the Australian Government as part of National Science Week.
